American pianist Lindsey Huff discovered her passion for vocal coaching while still studying for her bachelor's degree. A semester abroad (part of her studies at the University of Redlands in Southern California) sparked her interest in Austria. During an exchange semester at the Mozarteum Salzburg, Huff fell in love with the mountains in Salzburg and the music in Vienna. After completing a master's degree in vocal and instrumental coaching at the San Francisco Conservatory, she returned to Austria and completed a second master's degree in opera vocal coaching at MUK (then the Konservatorium Wien).
Currently, Huff works as a répétiteur at the Max Reinhardt Seminar, the Realgymnasium of the Vienna Boys' Choir, the Performing Center Austria and the Gulda School of Music. She also enjoys playing chamber music and, in 2021, founded Trio 37 together with Anne Harvey-Nagl (violin) and Mara Kronick-Achleitner (cello).
Of significance for my teaching is…
... that every student feels seen and heard and can find their own, unique sound.
