Michaela Schausberger, born in 1984, spent her childhood and youth in Ungenach, in the district of Vöcklabruck, Upper Austria.
In 2013 she completed her acting degree at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna. Since then she has worked as a freelance actress and has already performed at the Theater in der Josefstadt, the Landestheater Linz, the Kosmostheater Vienna, the Theater Drachengasse Vienna, the Werk X Eldorado, the Steudeltenn in Uderns and also for several consecutive summers at the Theatersommer Haag. Her work encompasses Greek tragedy, German classics such as Brecht and Ödön von Horvath, as well as several world premieres of plays by young playwrights like Thomas Arzt and devised theatre projects with the YZMA Theatre Collective. She has also recently brought her first children's play to the stage.
For some time now, she has also been taking an increasing liking to film and television work, shooting both television series and feature films. She recently celebrated her major debut with the cinema production „Zauberer“ by Sebastian Brauneis.
Significant for my teaching is …
… the joy of the work! And the fact that I bring practical experience of what it means to work with the voice, to learn, to feel, to accept, and perhaps also the willingness to allow for improvement through change.
