The baritone delights audiences and critics alike. He has been a soloist in around 25 stage productions and performs song recitals at home and abroad, including with „Dichterliebe“ and „Die schöne Müllerin“. Reviews praise him as a „charismatic performer with a captivating stage presence, velvety bariton (beautiflly moving to tears) and sparkling humour“ (tanz.at). He is a member of the ensemble of the „L.E.O. Letztes erfreuliches Operntheater“. As an ensemble and choral singer, he has performed at renowned concert halls such as the Wiener Musikverein, the Konzerthaus Wien and the Tonhalle Zürich.
For the publishing houses „Schott Music“ and the „Österreichischer Bundesverlag“, Paul Müller realised the schoolbook series „Musik aktiv“. The textbook is used nationwide for music lessons in grammar schools in Austria and Germany and includes a learning path on voice training. He established the „Class for Expression and Movement“, a two-year theatre course for school classes featuring participatory-transdisciplinary productions. This research project received the „Sparkling Science Prize“ from the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research. He devoted a sabbatical to scientific-artistic research on the topic of „flesh, ecstasy and embodiment“.
Paul Müller has many years of experience as a teacher of singing, piano, drama, choir and music at Viennese secondary schools. He was a lecturer at the „Institute for Music Education Research and Practice“ and a trainer in the „Mentoring Certificate Course“ at the University of Vienna. The Vienna Directorate of Education has repeatedly awarded him „Thanks and Recognition“ for his contributions to the professionalisation of art education and for establishing team structures.
