The voice as a seismograph of the soul
Significant for my teaching is …
… the awareness of the need to be able to convey the emotional design of a role vocally in any given space. This requires learning a craft just as much as recognising the complex interrelationships between breath, body, voice and speech.
Through ear training and the constant pushing of one's own boundaries, the subject of speech formation ideally leads students to the development of an artistic personality that places the acquired skills freely and without restriction at the service of the role to be developed.
