Dietmar König

Dietmar König was born in Hamburg and trained as an actor there at the University of Music and Theatre. Following his studies, he became a company member at the Thalia Theater in Hamburg in 1992. There, he was awarded the prestigious Hamburg „Boy-Gobert Prize“. In 2002, he moved to the Burgtheater in Vienna, where he has been a permanent company member ever since. He has been nominated twice for the Nestroy Prize.
As a teacher of role and scene study, Dietmar König also teaches at the Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz and the Hamburg University of Music and Theatre.
