As a child he wanted to be a puppeteer, but first trained as a pianist and then as an actor – always with a passion for directing, screenwriting and cinematography: learning in the 2000s from and alongside Andreas Dresen, Dominik Graf and Tom Tykwer, he made short films and feature-length documentaries in Germany, Argentina and New York, wrote screenplays, ran with „Cord“ at the 2020 Max Ophüls Festival, and at the same time has been working for 20 years as a lecturer in character work, camera acting and showreel scene shoots at various drama schools. In 2014, he was the first German-speaking acting coach to use the Chubbuck Technique and has since continuously modified it for the typical challenges in film and TV in this country: passive-looking victim characters become active shapers of their lives, coincidences become full intention, frustration is transformed into pleasure, and with daring performance choices, the cliffs of clichés are steered clear of.
